I keep seeing these journals being posted to dA where people are complaining that their friend backstabbed them or people they thought they were friends with suddenly ignore them for no reason because they found newer cooler friends. Ahh, high school drama! Gotta love it!

Here are a  few short words of wisdom to those who are going through this fun filled stage of the high school roller coaster. If someone back stabs you to make themselves look better to someone else, forget about them and move on. If they don't treat you right now, they probably never will until they have some time to think and mature. If you are part of a clique and constantly feel pressured to do things you don't want to do for fear of not being accepted, screw 'em. There are plenty of people at your school who would love and accept you for who you are!

When I was in high school, I never let myself be surrounded by untrue friends. Sure, I was in the crowd of "misfits", but hanging out with those misfits created some of my best high school memories. I never once felt pressured, I never once felt uncomfortable. I was myself, and they loved me for it.

My advice to those of you who are going through some gritty high school drama- ask yourself if the friends you have now are true to you. Ask yourself if they are really worth all the heartache they are putting you through.

Ask yourself: "Where are my misfits?" and go out there and find them!

Hope this helps, and I hope you make long lasting friendships with the ones that really care.

Sunny out!

Reading this makes me feel lucky; I pass through high school with without (a lot of) drama.
